Lance is Back

The prologue was cool. I was able to work at the Giant booth and show off the new Team Rabobank bike for a few hours and still get to watch the riders for a few more. The venue was packed with attendees wanting to catch a glimpse of "the dude in yellow" now that's he's back in the game. Me, I just like the buzz about cycling. Being a bike shop owner, you have to embrace anything that has to do with bringing awareness about the sport and getting people excited about spinning 2 wheels.

Having lance back is awsome- plus he's riding a Giant - showing that the best require the best equipment- When will you have Giant TT bikes in the store mike?

Lance isn't riding a Giant... He's married to TREK forever. He might have to pick up a Giant if he keeps getting his bike's stolen though...

Lance doesn't ride Giant but his good friend and powerhouse George is riding Giant- aside from the error in what lance rides - when will mad cat start carring the Giant TT?

We don't typically stock TT bikes, but a few of our team riders have the Giant TT bikes. I will stock them if the demand is great enough... so far, it hasn't been. We'll order one up for you anytime at no extra charge.

Haven't seen any mad caters out there with a Giant TT bike? Does Giant have a custom paint job? Be cool to personalize a frame- Not sure though if the Giant can stand up to the P3 and P4 from Cervelo- Got to admit the custom paint jobs on Trek i.e. Levi's bike is incredible no stickers either all hand painted- Love to test a Giant TT bike before I make a decision - either be a Giant, Trek TTX or Cervelo P3. What do you say papa cat?

The race in Sac was awesome, and tons of people were out there. The nice part for me? Seeing MadCat jerseys out walking around, and mee being able to point out the fact I bought my bike from there! Nice job!

The Giant TT bike you see in the TOC time trials has not been released into the market yet, but we do have the Felt B2R pro in stock at a comfy $5500. A few of our team riders are riding the Trinity and Aeryn TT bikes from Giant, but not the new design. That should be released in a few months, along with: a Rabobank TCR SL Team bike, a lower price Rabobank/105 bike and a Rabobank CX bike... all really cool looking.

Hopefully the U.S. versions of the Rabobank bikes will look like the French versions on the French Giant website. Go look.. you will want one!! Which, if they are similiar... I'll take one Team Defy White and one Team TCX to go!! The Team ISP is so sick... and so way outta my price range!!

Not sure whether this is the Belgium site or French site... but for those of you who like to drool: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/fr-BE/bikes/road/3495/35255/#

Checked that site out only found one TT bike offered by Giant- seems the TT giant bikes were crudely constructed especially near the head-tube area- maybe they're all protypes before the production model hits the floor- don't know. Talked to ben coats from Trek he said the TTX carries a .004% more drag than the Cervelo P4 yet the TTX is 40% stiffer!- Cervelo is the faster frame out there. Trek is the stiffest. Specialized transition looks interesting too. Lot's to think about.
